The handmade Italian printed silk ties

Crafted from the finest Italian silk, the timeless accessories seamlessly blend a rich history, unparalleled versatility, and exceptional quality. As we delve into the captivating realm of Viola Milano printed silk ties, prepare to be enthralled by their luxurious charm.

The Selftipped Construction

The tip is simply the fabric that is used to finish the backside of a tie. Even though this part of your tie is not usually visible, we use the same fabric for the tip as we do for the shell of the tie. This beautiful method is called self-tipping and, while more expensive to produce, creates a more beautiful tie that stands up to closer scrutiny without leaving you disappointed.

Italian Archive Madder Silk

The colors are oversaturated and dark – think mustards, forest greens and burgundies – and the shade is dusty and faded. In fact, while the ‘ancient’ part of the name is unexplained, some think it refers to the most faded end of the color spectrum.

Ancient madder ties are always printed on a twill silk fabric treated with ‘gum arabic.’ The madder dyes combined with the gum silk create a characteristic handfeel that is uniquely soft and chalky.
